Heitor Villa-Lobos

Heitor Villa-Lobos (March 5, 1887 - November 17, 1959) was a Brazilian composer. He wrote numerous works for orchestra, ensemble, and solo instruments. Typical for his work is the incorporation of Brazilian folk music, but he also used style elements from impressionism, expressionism, baroque, and classicism. Villa-Lobos is the best known classical composer of South America.
